Hello Shepard! I wanted to send you the “before and after” photos of our staircase with the newel post you custom-made for me. We LOVE it. I made use of the time I was at home during the hurricane recovery to refinish the stairs and finish the painting on the post. It’s changed the whole staircase. We had been searching for someone who could replicate the 1915 spindles (balusters) we had using red oak at an affordable price. Ben (at Stiles) didn’t hesitate for a minute upon seeing the photos and dimensions and said there would be no problem in replicating in stain-grade red oak and he quoted us a price that was much more affordable. Ben was great at coordinating our request/order both on the phone and via email.
