We work with both paint-grade (poplar, soft maple, etc.) and stain-grade (oak, hard maple, cherry, walnut, sapele, etc.) woods and select species based on your application. For example, interior furniture gets different treatment than exterior flagpoles.

For restoration work: Send photos or bring the original piece. We reverse-engineer the profile and match dimensions, proportions, and mounting style.

For new projects: Choose from existing profiles or specify custom turning. We can work from sketches, CAD files, or dimensional drawings.

Wood finials can be turned to exact custom profiles without tooling costs, stained or painted to match existing finishes, repaired or refinished if damaged, and produced in small quantities economically. Plastic requires expensive molds for custom shapes. Metal limits finishing options and costs more for small runs.

For exterior applications, we recommend marine-grade finishes or naturally weather-resistant species.
